Light House - Missaglia
Set in the green heart of Brianza, “Light House” features minimalist lines and geometric forms with a contemporary feel. An organic architecture in close contact with nature and the landscape that fits in quietly, thanks to a careful study of volumes and a conscious choice of sustainable materials.
Project overview:
As the name itself suggests, “Light House” was designed so that light would take centre stage. The alternation of walls with granular plaster, visually echoing the appearance of bark, and large glazed transparent surfaces, protect those who live in the home. Thanks to its layout on two axes, the villa receives natural light during the day; conversely, it emits its own light during the darker hours. The project’s refined aesthetics are emphasised by the contemporary design of systems made from 70% recycled aluminium. Lift-and-slide and fixed windows in the sleeping area in the north wing of the house, while in the living area minimalist double-track sliding systems ensure a high level of living comfort. The minimalist sliding system, a true emblem of modern design, thanks to its nine-metre length, has made it possible to create a vast obstacle-free glazed surface for a breathtaking endless view of the surrounding landscape. Brightness is optimally regulated inside the living spaces thanks to vertical drop curtains and Venetian blinds integrated into a home automation system. The grey nuance and their clean, well-defined lines blend perfectly with the contemporary design of the architecture.
An organic architecture in close contact with nature and the landscape that fits in “on tiptoe” thanks to a careful study of volumes and a conscious choice of sustainable materials.
