Villa privata - Zara

Just a few steps from Viale Zara, the villa, located in a residential complex in Milan, has been completely renovated, replacing the wooden windows and the iron veranda with new materials and innovative systems. These have helped give the home a fresh, modern and elegant touch.

Project Overview:

The project was developed using materials that could aesthetically replicate the pre-existing shapes, while increasing their thermal and acoustic performance.

In the former villa of Enzo Iacchetti, the old windows and doors were replaced with a new minimal steel-look aluminium profile and equipped with mosquito nets. On the second floor, on the east facade, there are two bow windows made in steel-look with aluminium roofing and a load-bearing steel structure covered in insulated metal sheet and equipped with a channel for water drainage. Sized and made with the same pre-existing geometries, their thermal performance has been improved, and they have been completed with mosquito nets projecting externally.

The veranda certainly has a clear visual impact within the entire project. This consists of primary elements that form the load-bearing structure entirely in aluminium. Windows with a minimal steel-look profile and a glass roof housed in a support system have been inserted, which, in addition to allowing its fixing, guarantees water tightness. The gutter channel is fully integrated into the structural element and is an integral part of the system. Aluminium profiles were applied to the vertical cladding to restore an Anglo-Saxon style, given both by the clean lines and by the contrast between the brown colour of the bricks and the matt white Ral 9010 of the aluminium profiles.
