La Palpebra

Project Overview:

The aluminium system, designed with profiles featuring clean, ultra-thin lines, smoothly blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, ensuring brightness in the room and an uninterrupted view.

The project for this annexe was conceived with the aim of making the most of the green space available on the property. A private space, independent from the main house, was created where one can relax, enjoy hobbies and welcome friends and family. “Palpebra” is intended to figuratively evoke the human eye, which looks out over the surrounding landscape on one side, and on the other a fascinating cave, nestled in a section of the garden and framed by flowers and plants. This space has been enhanced by a minimalist corner enclosure made up of large sliding glass panels on two tracks. Inside, the open-plan area comprises a kitchen, living room and lounge, separated from the bathroom and storage room. Outside, the large relaxation area is connected by a stone path to the biopool. Animated by the presence of aquatic plants, whose colours and forms change with the seasons, the biopool crowns the evocative, green character of this carefully designed eco-building project
